I have been searching for information pretaining to my grandfather,Henry Schmitt who had immigrated from Bavaria Germany with brothers Valentine and William around 1836. They first settled in St. Wendel, Indiana and later moved to the Richland County area of Illinois. Henry married Emma Fisher and had three children, Otto who married Clara Nix, Lulu who married Clarence H. Johnson, and Carrie who married Frank Lawless. My grandfather, Otto, changed his last name to Smith in the early 1900's.
Also would like information for my husbands family; his grandfather was Raymond Edward Wagner Sr. and grandmother was Ethyl Alta Wakefield.
