My name is Laurie Wagner(Byrd). I have just started researching my family tree. I am researching my paternal surnames Byrd and McNeal and my maternal surnames of Ramos and Acuna. Other surnames include Johnson and Vanderbilt. As I get further along in my search I'll be adding more.
I am currently researching the ancestry information on Robert McNeal(1887-1974),he was born in West Virgina and may have been adopted. I was told he left home at a very young age and joined a circus. Robert McNeal married Beulah Vanderbilt(1890-1981) they had 3 children, Dorothy,Carolyn and Robert. Dorothy is my grandmother. Beulah was born in Trinidad.
On the Byrd side, I have the name of Rubin Byrd,Jr. but no dates. Rubin married Elizabeth(?)she was born abt.1864 and was Cherokee Indian. Charles Byrd(1892-1979)is their son,there may be more children. Charles had 2 sons, Lawrence and Elmer and a daughter Gladys. Charles married Lucil Johnson(b.abt 1896).The Byrds have roots in Ohio. Lawrence was born in Washington Court House and was educated in Bloomingburg.
At the present time I know very little about the Ramos/Acuna side of my family as my mother's parents died when she was young. I am particularly interested in the ancestry of Francisco Ramos and Maria Acuna,they were both born in Mexico. Maria's father was Joseph Acuna.
Any information will be helpful and I am willing to share the information that I have.
Soon I will begin the research of my husband's family, any information on Wilson Ralph Wagner, or any Wagner's with history in Berlin,Pennsylvania would be helpful. The mother of Wilson might have been Edith Stull. Other surnames in my husband's family are Quintana from New Mexico.(Santa Fe or Alberquerque)
