| I have been researching the Yeagers and the Kerrs of Centre County Pa and the Kerrs and the Prices of Stevenson Co. IL for about the past five years. I have had the best luck with the Kerrs and the Prices. My great grand father WILLIAM CURTIS YEAGER who was born somewhere ineither Clinton or Centre Co. Pa in 1864. I know that there were migrations to Stevenson Co Illinois and that these migrations were very possibly related to church denominations: 1.THE GERMAN BRETHERN OR GERMAN BAPTIST BRETHREN (also known as "Dunkers") that probably began in PA. 2.THE DICIPLES OF CHRIST (aka "Campbellites" of PA and KY) I am thinking of a period around 1820 to about 1850. I will gladly share any information that I have and hope that you can be of help to me. UPDATE:As of October 2002 I have located Wm. Curtis Yeager's father PETER S.YEAGER Peter had two brothers. Daniel Furst Yeager and Samuel. I also now know that my ggrandparents married on Stevenson County Illinois. And I know that my great grandfather had a sister, CLARA TERESA YEAGER HAWLK. Clara moved west where she married and eventually died in Webster City Iowa |
