5. LATECIA² SHETTER (MARTIN¹) was born Abt. 1828 in Alabama. She married ISAAC A. EPPERSON June 06, 1843 in June 06, 1843. He was born Abt. 1822 in Tennessee.

Notes for LATECIA SHETTER:
Latecia Shetter married Isaac Epperson in Shelby Co., TN. in 1843. She and her husband and three children were listed on the 1850 Harrison Co., TX. census living next door to James T. Smith and Artalissa. On Feb. 22, 1849, Isaac Epperson purchased for the sum of fifty dollars, one acre of land joining the town of Marshall. He sold this tract of land on the seventeenth day of January, 1850, for the sum of one hundred and seventy five dollars to W. H. Dial. It is not known at this time where the family went after that date.

6. JOHN CHRISTOPHER² SHETTER (MARTIN¹) was born Abt. 1830 in Prob. Morgan Co., Alabama, and died December 17, 1900 in Johnson Co., TX.. He married MARY JEMIMA NORWOOD January 19, 1854 in Daingerfield, Titus Co., TX.. She was born February 10, 1836 in Prob. Morgan Co., Alabama, and died December 26, 1909 in Ft. Worth, Tarrent Co., TX..

Notes for JOHN CHRISTOPHER SHETTER:
John Christopher Shetter was born about 1830 in Alabama. He came to Harrison Co., Texas with his sister Artalissa and James T. Smith in 1849. He was listed living with them on the 1850 Harrison Co., Texas census. He moved to Titus Co., Texas after 1850, and there he married Mary Jemima Norwood on Jan.19, 1854. He was baptized in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, as well as five of his children, in Daingerfield, Texas. He served in the Civil War from 1862- 1865 as a confederate soldier in Co. G. Morgan's Battalion, Capt. Scott's Company, Parson's Brigade. He received a Confederate Pension in 1899 in Johnson Co., Texas. He is buried in Hillsboro Cemetery with a CSA gravestone.

Notes for MARY JEMIMA NORWOOD:
She was the daughter of James Porter Norwood...Land record found for him in Morgan Co., Alabama. It is a logical assumption that the Norwoods and the Shetters knew each other in Ala.

Marriage record found for Minerva Shetter and J.P. Campbell in Shelby Co., TN. ..They were also on the 1850 Shelby Co., TN census in household # 1689.

Notes for J. P. CAMPBELL:
J. P. Campbell bought several items from the estate sale of Mary Jane Shetter. He and Minerva were on the 1850 Shelby Co., TN census. The census indicates that the first child could possibly be J. P. Campbell's son by a previous marriage.
