Weekly'sI am researching information on William Weekly from Pennsylvania married to Amanda Sausgiver. I have no dates on them. They had a son named Morris Sr. who maried Fannie Harshbarger. They had a son, Morris Jr. who was my father.
We have been fortunate in obtaining written family history of the Harshbarger line and would share with anyone interested. We originate in Germany and immigrate into America through Virginia. Our ancestry originates with Jacob, Christian, Christian Jr, David, and Jacob. Jacob was married to Elizabeth Blake. They had a son William who married Octavia Jane White. They had a daughter named Fannie who married Morris Weekly Sr. These are my paternal grandparents.
My maternal line starts with my grandparents Elza Wolfe and Marylin Missouri Fife. Elza's parents were Ephriam Andrew Wolfe and Idenna Jane Gross (Groseclose). They were married in Virginia, moved to Kentucky, and into Ohio early 1900's.
Marylin (Maryland) maiden name Fife. Her parents were William Fife who died in Lewis County Kentucky in 1903 when she was two years old, and Amanda Jane Bowling. We have no other information on William, other than he was a cousin to Amanda Jane's first husband, Samuel Henry.
Amanda Jane was married four times. First to Samuel Henry, next was William Fife. She then married Steve Horseley (div'd) and then married Charles Walker. There were no children by the last two marriages. She was born in 1865 to Preston Bowling and Nancy Jane Trimble. Nancy's parents were Lewis Trimble and Phoebe Ratliff. I have no further information on the Trimble's and the Ratliff's.
Preston Bowlings parents were Henry H.Bowling and and Ellen Blankenship. Ancestry Benjamin J, Jarret, Benjamin, Benjamin, Joseph, George, William, William, Thomas Boulding II, Thomas, Thomas. Henry was born in 1813 in Virginia. Ellen was born 1820 in Virginia.
The Wagner research is just beginning. Sister Cathryn is obtaining the information and has promised to share. The family orginiates in Iron River, Michigan and is German/Irish descent.
