The Wallberg side of the family comes from Sweden. My husband Robert is a second generation Swedish-American. We have substantial information on both sides of his family, due to the parish records that are kept in Sweden, but have nothing prior to the emigration of the family to Sweden from Holland in the 1200's because of the bombing of Holland in WWII.
My maiden name is Doe (and yes, I have a brother John!). I emigrated to the US in 1965, and have sporadically been trying to assemble a family tree as impressive as my husband's. My father's family is from the southeastern part of England, mainly Essex, and my mother's maiden name is McLean, from Perthshire, Scotland. With all that is now available on the Internet, I am hoping to move a little faster in assembling my tree. The names that are the most important to me are McLean and Thompson (my maternal grandfather was married twice, both times to an unrelated Thompson), and Doe and Westwood, my paternal grandparents.
