Survived by his parents, Charles and Joyce (Burton) Wallace, Grove City; wife, Sally (McKnight) Wallace; son, Jason, Columbus; daughter, Jennifer, Circleville; brother, Dr. Douglas (Bernadine) Wallace, Grove City; 7 nieces and nephews. Funeral service held 11 a.m. Monday at the WELLMAN FUNERAL HOME, Circleville. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Circleville, OH. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday.

My Dad, Steve Wallace was an inspiration to me. He was the only man I knew that could do ANYTHING.
He encouraged me to do my best, and as long as I tried to do something with my best effort, he was proud of me. When I joined the Army National guard in the winter of 1994, he was thrilled. I believe that he wished he had gone in when he was younger. But the day I graduated from basic training, I've never seen him more proud of me then he was that day. Making my father proud was something that I always strived to do.
Steve was the best father anyone could ask for. He successfully raised two children who have grown into mature adults now. He was always there for me and my sister, Jenny. Whether it was to play catch with me when I was young, or to teach me things about computers when I decided to major in MIS at Ohio State, or to fix things as soon as I would break them, he was there for me in a way no one ever was. In addition to being a great father, he was also a very loving husband of 25 years to my wonderful mother, Sally Wallace. My dad was a very unique individual who was loved by his family and by all. He will be missed greatly and will always be in the memory of everyone.
