I ELLEN JANE WALKER of Harlow House 49 Argyle Road West Ealing in the County of Middlesex hereby revoke all former wills and declare this to be my last will 1. I appoint my son Henry Havelock Walker of Wykeham Sheringham Norfolk Douglas Frederick Kennedy Kennedy-Bell of St Johns Vicarage North Side Wandsworth Common S W and Stanley Dimitri Tarsey of 76 Southampton Street Reading Berks (hereinafter called my trustees) EXECUTORS & trustees of this my last will II. I desire to be buried in the same grave as my dear husband John Havelock Walker in the Ealing & Old Brentford Cemetery with my wedding ring on I also desire that the packet of letters I have left so endorsed & the joint likenesses of my dear husband & myself shall be buried with me & I direct my trustees to pay to the burial board of the Parishes of Ealing and Old Brentford or other proper authority the sum of thirty one pounds ten shillings or other sum as according to the regulations of the said - Board or Authority for the time being for the Purpose of the maintenance & upkeep of the said grave. III. I give the following legacies the sum of four hundred pounds to my dear cousin Lily Taylor of Ivy Hall Wooton Bridge Isle of Wight seventy five pounds to my kind friend since my widowhood Douglas Frederick Kennedy Kennedy-Bell fifty pounds to -- Stanley Dimitri Tarsey and ten pounds to my god child Jean Audrey Dougall daughter of Robert Dougall of 4 Kenilworth Road Ealing all of which are to be free of legacy duty IV. I give to my daughter Ellen Jessie May Walker the sum of two hundred pounds absolutely and the sum of fifty two pounds a year to be paid quarterly as long as she lives V. To my sister Annie Bourn of Fareview Clare Suffolk the sum of twenty six pounds a year to be paid quarterly as long as she lives VI. To my faithful & devoted servant Rebecca Fitch (known as Mary) if still in my employment at the time of my death my freehold house 14 Sunbridge Terrace or such other as may be purchased in its place she Rebecca Fitch to keep the house in fair tenantable order & decoration inside and out-side at the discretion of trustees such furniture from my house 49, Argyle Road as will be suitable to properly furnish the same linen spoons forks & knives included & ten shillings a week for life in consideration of her faithful service especially in that of my last illness & at her death the house 14 Sunbridge Terrace to go to my granddaughter Joyce Havelock Walker such furniture etc to be selected by my son Henry Havelock Walker at his sole discretion VII. I wish my son to have the use & enjoyment of the screen made by my mother silver salver which was a presentation to my father also the silver tea pot sugar basin & milk jug which were wedding presents to my father for his lifetime & then to descend as heirlooms to his eldest son or failing a son to his eldest issue & I give to my son Henry Havelock Walker all the pictures & ornaments in the house & the rest of my furniture to retain in some way the proceeds of which are to be banked for my dear grand child Joyce Havelock Walker until she attain the age of twenty five years but nevertheless my son may give at his sole discretion & option any furniture etc that my daughter Ellen Jessie May Walker may wish to have for her own use VIII. As to all the rest & residue of my estate whether real or personal I devise & bequeath the same to my trustees upon trust to call in sell or convert the same into money at such times & in such manner as they in their uncontrolled discretion shall deem expedient & to invest the proceeds of such calling in sale or conversion of my real & personal property & the residue if any of my ready money in the names or name of the said trustees or trustee in or upon the public stocks funds or securities of or guaranteed by the Government of the United Kingdom or of India or of a Colony or Dependancy of the United Kingdom or of any foreign state or in stock of the Bank of England or of the Bank of Ireland or in or upon the stocks funds or shares ordinary or otherwise or the debentures mortgages or securities of any Corporation Company or public body municipal local commercial or otherwise in the United Kingdom or India or any Colony or Dependancy of the United Kingdom or in any foreign country or in any investment or investments in which at the time of my death any part of my personal estate may be invested by way of addition to such existing investment or investments or on the security or in the purchase (including enfranchisement of any real or leasehold property situate arising or being in England or Wales & being freehold or copy hold of inheritance or leasehold for a term whereof at least thirty years shall be unexpired at the time of such investment & property held by underlease or on the security or in the purchase of heritable property in Scotland & in lending money on or purchasing any real or leasehold or heritable property my trustees or trustee for the time being may accept whatever title or evidence of title shall appear to them him or her sufficient without being answerable for any loss arising therefrom or thereby with liberty to vary & transpose the said investments from time to time at the discretion of my said trustees or trustee for the time being into or for others of the description authorised by this my will & to pay the annual income arising therefrom or from any investment thereof to my said son during his life but should my son predecease my daughter then his interest shall pass to my daughter for her lifetime nevertheless & notwithstanding what has hereinbefore been written it is my wish that my son will at his option & discretion give to my daughter one half share of the annual income arising from my estate after the legacies & annuities have been paid & also after my son shall have received a similar annual income of fifty two pounds to that which I have left my daughter & then with the remainder to the issue of my said son in equal shares when he or she or they shall attain the age of twenty five years IX. I desire my trustees to pay my funeral expenses & debts & the legacies of this my will or any codicil thereto X.
