6. Edward² Roe (Joshua¹) was born September 15, 1790 in Baltimore, Maryland, and died July 24, 1880 in Lewis County, Kentucky. He married Atha Ellender (Eleanor) Littleton October 29, 1812 in Fleming County, Kentucky, daughter of John Littleton and Leanner Goddard. She was born 1796 in Pennsylvania, and died Bef. 1860 in Carter County, Kentucky.

Notes for Edward Roe:
Edward and Atha separated before 1838. She married a minister named Daniel Duff.

Christening: St. James Episcopal Church, Baltimore Co., Md.

Birth, Death: Tombstone inscription. Also birthday from St. James Parish records, Baltimore Co., Md.

Note: Edward separted from his first wife and then married Rebecca Burris and fathered several more
children. According to Md. Gen. Soc. 16:3, August 1975 p. 162, Edward migrated to Ky circa 1817 with Thomas Stone and James Stafford. This article states that he died October 24, 1860 in Lewis County, but tombstone indicates July 24, 1880. It is also unlikely this he migrated as late as 1817 because his sister Nancy was born in Fleming County in 1803 and he married in 1812.

Marriage: Fleming County, Ky marriage records-married by Abbott Goddard probably 1st cousin of the bride-she is listed as Ellender.
