2. WILLIAM2 CALLAHAN (JAMES1) was born Abt. 1817 in Georgia. He married ELIZABETH S. THOMAS COOPER January 22, 1836 in Decatur, GA, daughter of SAMUEL COOPER and SARAH JUSTICE.

ILLIAM CALLAHAN:
I am trying to make sense of what I have so I am going to put it in chronological order. Let's see what happens. Hope this makes sense to you guys, but this is the only way I know of putting it. I truly believe that we have William CALLAHAN as the son of James CALLAHAN, and that William had a brother named Richard. By the way, Richard states on the 1880 Jackson Census that his father was from VA and his mother from GA.

Callahan, William Samuel (b. 1840) enlisted 7/13/61 at Lake City. He was present on every roll until October 1863 when he was absent sick. He died 11/16/63 in a Griffin GA hospital.
