There are a number of researchers working on this Smith line, Lysanders ancestors. I have found all but one of Lysanders Descendants. Lysander and his wife Charlotte Burhart moved from Mn>Ks> to Kent Washington in 1883. They bought the Kent Lumber Company from their son Albert Smith's father in Law Peter Saar. The company flourished until it sold to Seattle and is now the Green River Water Shed, in 1924.
This summer 2001, August 18 is the FAMILY reunion!! It will be at Flaming Geyser State Park at Shelter #1. Not only are Lysander's descendants coming but the descendants of his siblings.
We are still looking for Lysanders son's family. George Andrew Smith died at about 30, and his wife remarried Will Boundy. She raised Frank George Smith as her own son. He married a Cora Carter from Portland Or. about 1911. I know that they lived at Alki Point in Seattle during WW 11. And that they had at least one Son. If you are of this line, I would like to find you.
