Paul Walter, SR. was born in Virginia in 1755. His father, Nicholas Walter, probably traveled from Pennsylvania down the Great Wagon Road through Virginia, Winston-Salem and on to Mecklenburg County (that part now Cabarrus) where he settled. I have considerable information on his descendants but I know nothing of his ancestors. Contact me if you are seeking or have information on the Walter/Walters name from Germany.
Solomon Dry was born in Cabarrus County around 1798. He married Esther Melchor. Solomon's father was Phillip Dry. I have information on Solomon's descendant's but no information on his brothers, sisters or ancestors beyond Phillip. This family also came from Germany, arriving in Pennsylvania. If you are seeking or have information on the Dry/Drye name, please contact me.

Please note my new Dry Report below. Solomon's ancestry is shown as Phillip, Charles and Johan Martin. This has not been confirmed beyond Phillip. Will update as soon as I have new information. Please feel free to point out errors in either report.
