Notes for Martha Jane Banks: There are different opinions about the death date for Martha (Banks) Nall. She was enumerated as the wife of George Washington Nall in the 1870 Federal Census, so I am using a death date of after 1870; this is consistent with verbal information from older family members. She is buried in the cemetery near the George W. Nall, Jr. homestead that is now referred to as the Nall-Kennedy cemetery. The site of her grave in the cemetery is not known. Samuel Penrod and James Webster Nall searched the cemetery in the early 1900's for her grave marker, with the intention of erecting a more permanent marker, but were unable to locate her grave marker at that time.
