James Skelton (b. 1588, d. May 28, 1668)

James Skelton (son of Sir Ralph Skelton and Jane West)^{1575, 1576} was born 1588 in Canterbury, Warwick, England¹⁵⁷⁶, and died May 28, 1668 in Bermuda, Barbados^{1576, 1577}. He married Ann Landysdale on 1587 in St. James, Suffolk County, England¹⁵⁷⁸.

Came to Virginia in 1610. Resident of Jamestown in 1620. Member of the Courts of 1619 and 1624 (First courts in America).
