Letter to MaryFrances Walter, 28 Dec. 1962 fro Joe Walter, Oregon, George Walter's brother.
Dear Niece:As I got back mailing the letter to your Dad, The mailman delivered your card and sure surprised to hear about your dad.How is he at this writing hoping it will be a big help to his hearing.Well, was Santa nice to you and the rest of the sisters. How about that beauty operator sister coming along ready to go to work any time now.No doubt it will be next year before you get this letter, and that will bring you closer to the time you folks will be heading for the wild-wooly west. How would it be if I should come for a visit and help around the ranch building horses' barns and may help you look for a rich rancher. If we find one I just charge you about 15 per cent for my trouble. It surely would be worth that much, don't you think. If I write much more it will be one of my best sellers. So closing for the old year with a blessed New Year to come from all to All.Good luck to your dad - mother, Uncle Joe
