Mary Ellen Staunton (daughter of Patrick Staunton and Julia Cannon) was born 06 Apr 1915 in Killawalla, Westport, County Mayo, and died 06 Mar 1984 in Westminster, London. She married John Joseph Scully on 1947 in Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Kensington, son of Jeremiah Scully and Jane Stack.
Notes for Mary Ellen Staunton: Came to London in the 1930's.
Worked in a munitions factory near Barnes during World War II and also did "fire watching" from the roof of Derry & Toms department store in Kensington High Street.
Was sheltering in Our Lady of Victories Church in Kensington when it was hit by two oil bombs and badly damaged during the blitz on 13 September 1940.
