Notes for S
AMUEL PAGE:
Samuel PAGE served during the Revolutionary War, as private, then Sargeant Major during the years 1775 - 1778.      He had three brothers; Ephraim, Nathan, Elias, and two sisters; Sarah and Abigal. If they have descendents, their whereabouts is unknown. Where Sarah JOHNSON came from is not known, as her name is not listed in the New Hampshire census. According to early historical records and research, the PAGE family came to New England prior to the American Revolution, and were among the first PAGE's to have come to this country from England. It is known that one branch of the family settled at what is Brooklyn, NY Returning from a visit to England, they found themselves dispossessed of their estate by fraud, and usurpers occupying and building on their land. They took up residence in a hotel where on a certain night, was overheard a plot to murder them. They fled the place, and secretly left for England from whence they never returned.
