Researching the name Wands. Where does it originate from? My father was Walter Joseph Jr born 4/3/29 in Jersey City, NJ. His father Walter Sr was born late 1800's or early 1900's probably in Jersey City also. Walter Sr had a large family with at least a dozen brothers and sisters of which only 2 (Hazel and Burgess) survived into adulthood. Walter Sr was married two times and had a total of 5 children. Walter Jr and Robert F. from his 1st marriage (wife unknown). Frances Mary, Joanne and Michael from his second marriage to Frances Wands.
