| I am researching James B Bankhead,b.March 13,1867,Hill Co.,Texas.son of William C Bankhead and Rebecca Hooper. James left Texas for Oklahoma.He left Ok.in 1900 and was headed for the Wallowa country in the Oregon Territory.He had to hold over in Rawlins,Wyoming for a year.He finally made Oregon in 1902.There with his wife Flora they raised up a family of nine children. Flora passed away about 1920,and James left the Wallowa Valley for the coast of Oregon.There he lived until his death in 1932. |
