Howard P. Cogger, age 79, father of Mayor Richard N. Cogger of Lathrup, died today. His home was at 16966 Centralia, Redford Township. Surviving are his wife, Orrel; his son, who makes his home at 28440 Sunset, Lathrup; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) McKay and Mrs. Howard (Ruth) Olsen; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Cogger was co-founder of Acme Ball Bearing, Detroit. He was retired. Services will be at 1 PM Monday, at Ross B. Northrop and Son Funeral Home, 22401 Grand River, Redford. Burial will be in Grand Lawn Cemetery.
