| I am researching the Ward/Cagney families from the Chicago area. John J Ward came to America in the early 1900s and settled in Chicago. He was a lawyer. His family was from County Westmeath in Ireland. He married Mary Irene Patterson who was born in Chicago. Her parents, Patrick and Mary Irene Coyne, were both from Ireland. John and Irene's son John J married Mary Jane Cagney. Mary Jane's father was John Raymond Cagney. He was third generation Irish. His grandparents were from Ireland, but we are not sure where. I am also researching the Henry C Baker and John Conlon families from northern Wisconsin. Bayfield and Douglas Counties and also Minnesota. Henry married Emma Gelineau and John married Anne Christy. As far as I know they were all born in Canada. Some other surnames are: Magee, Worth, Mclaughlan, Lucas, Shepard, Knutson, and Nelson. If anyone has any info, I'd really appreciate hearing from you and I will share anything I have. |
