I am researching the Warner family of England, CT, NY, VT, OH, and MI. My 2nd GGrandfather, Amos Washington Warner was born Abt. 05 Nov 1822 in Chazy, Clinton, NY and is the GNephew of Col. Seth Warner of the Green Mountain Boys. From census information and information from cousin Alice Smith, his father is likely Wait Warner who lived in the Chazy, NY area during the time Amos W. Warner was born. Wait's father was Capt. John Warner, brother of Col. Seth Warner.

In February of 2006 I received information from my new found cousin Linda Theriault that she received from cousin Alice Smith that helps to more positively identify Wait W. Warner as the father of our Amos Washington Warner and shows the following:

"Last year I was put in touch with a Hedding cousin who lives in CA named Alice Smith. The Hedding family connect to the Warners with 2 Warner sisters (Miranda and Elmina) marrying 2 Hedding brothers (Henry and John) in the mid 1800's. Both these families left NY and moved to WI.

Alice's great-grandmother, Frances, began doing genealogy in the late 1800's. She had compiled a family tree of the Heddings and their allied families which includes the Warner family. It is a real family treasure because she still had contact with many relatives who were born in the early 1800's and still had recollections of these names.

The transcript from this handwritten family tree gives this information:
Wait Warner married 1st to Annis Baxter and had children: Electa, Lyman, Junia Caroline, Gideon John, Ada Maria, Miranda Louise, Lucetta, Elmina, Benjamin Franklin, Amos Washington (Benjamin & Amos were twins), Alphonse S. Allen, Truman.
Wait married 2nd to Margaret Minkler (she calls her Mrs. Margaret Minkler so not sure if she was a widow when she married Wait) and had 3 more children: Sarah Malvina, Vanburen and Augusta.
Source: Handwritten family tree completed by Frances Ada (Hedding) Bailey (1851-1896), daughter of John & Elmina Hedding, in the late 1800's."

The link to Wait H. Warner has now put me in touch with many new cousins to correspond with and share information as we turn over more stones and discover even more cousins.

I am also researching the McConnell family which was a Protestant Irish family that migrated from Ireland to Canada and then to Michigan. My Grandfather, Roland James McConnell, b. April 21, 1888, in Streetsville, Peel, Ontario, Canada. His father was Adam Alexander McConnell b. abt. 1845. His Mother was Mary Ann Bonham, b. May 11, 1854, Oxfordshire, England. Mary's parents, John Bonham, b. 1803 in Oxfordshire, England and Anne Sheriff, b. 1812 in Oxfordshire, England, migrated to Canada from Oxfordshire, England. They arrived at Port Credit in 1856, they settled in Streetsville, ON.

I have also incorporated some of my wife Catherine Jane Bennett's ancestors. Many of these are from the John Martin family of Seaford, Delaware.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
