I am a novice researcher especially interested in my great-grandfather, James Aiken . He was born in Fairfield District South Carolina August 8, 1830. He graduated The Citadel in 1851. He moved to Alabama about 1856 and served with the 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment during the War Between the States. He later was a lawyer and judge in Gadsden, AL. He died June 22,1908.
