Family of John Wesley and Martha (Doyle) SELF

We are the family of John Wesley SELF (1869) and Martha Mariena DOYLE (1879)of Arkansas. This family migrated to California in 1942 and settled in Ventura and Kern Counties. A family reunion is held each year in the month of September in Kern County. We have 150 to 200 attend each year.


I love to share what information I have and enjoy anything new that is available. Please contact me with any information. I can not find anything about Jim DOYLE and Martha (Mary) Thompson. I only found them in the 1880 census in Sebastian County, Arkansas. My grandmother was born in Logan County in 1879. He mother died when she was less than 9 years old.
These are the parents of my grandmother Martha DOYLE.

My Isaac SELF and wife Susan are also loss somewhere in history. I am told that Isaac and Susan are from GA and later moved to Mississippi before landing in Arkansas around 1860. My grandfather was the the youngest of 4 children born to Isaac and Susan. He was born in Crawford County Arkansas in 1869.
