| My research currently includes these lines: Paternal: MAY, HILL, SALE, LIVESEY, HARAM, TRUITT, COLLINS, GOTCHER, BROYLES, GRAVES, MEREDITH. My main research concerns my g-grandfather, Samuel Watson May, b. May 5, 1838 in AL or MS. His mother was Frances Sale. His father may have been Canadian, but that has not been proven. S.W. May married Emily Virginia Gotcher on Feb. 3, 1861 in AL. Their first 6 children were born in AL and the last 4 were born in TN. That puts them in TN between 1875 and 1882. I have a great deal of information on Emily, as the Gotcher family has done much research on their lines. Maternal: WALKER, ADAMS, GLORE, THOMPSON, HARPER, SMITH, JARRETT, GRIFFIN, BARKER, COCKERHAM, REID, HAMLIN, GREEN. My g-grandfather, Floyd Jefferson Walker was b. Nov. 1853 in GA. His parents were David Walker and Martha Glore. They were both born in GA. I have some information about Martha, but I know nothing at all about David. Floyd married Martha Caroline Thompson, b. Sept. 5,1850 in GA. Her parents were William Thompson, Sr.,b.Oct.29, 1824 in Jackson Co., GA, d. March 29, 1920 in Fairburn,Fayette Co.,GA and Amanda Frances Harper, b.1829. William and Amanda were married Sept.2,1847 in Pike Co.,GA.She died Sept.3,1900. Floyd and Martha married on Aug.,20,1874. They had 5 children in GA and moved to Smith Co., TX in 1891. Martha died in 1900 and Floyd died in 1907, both in Smith Co., TX. I would be happy to share whatever information I have about any of these lines. If you can help me, please contact me. |
