Find Family

The Lackey/Warren Family Home Page

Updated January 10, 2003

I am researching all "branches" of our family tree. I hope to be able to provide for our children the history of their roots and heritage. Since my husband was adopted, and has been reunited with his birth mother, our family tree is particularly interesting. Through various pieces of information from the Family Archive CDs, I have compiled over 3300 individuals into our family tree.

Listed below is a brief description of my relationship to each branch:

Rambo - My father's mother's family. I have determined that we are descendants of the Peter Gunnarson Rambo who came to America in the 1600's. Through the family archive CDs, a line was traced down to Newton Zachariah Rambo who settled in AR. His son, Leonard Forrest Rambo, is my Great-Great-Grandfather. I have not been able to definitely determine who is John Alexander Rambo's father. I believe it might be Gunnar Rambo, born 1/6/48-49 in PA. Gunnar was married to Anna Cock.

Lackey - My father's father's family. Andrew Jackson Lackey was born in Faulkner County, AR and died in Lonoke County, AR. Andrew is my Great-Grandfather. His father is Benjamin and was born in NC. This is all I know about Benjamin. It is believed that we are descendants of the 3 Lackey brothers that settled in North Carolina. I am trying to determine how we are related.

Chung - My mother's father's family. My mother came to the United States from Seoul, Korea in 1963 when she married my father. Her family history has been traced, but has not be transferred here yet.

Lee - My mother's mother's family. All history is in Korea. Either, the Lee or Chung family, maybe both, are part of the royal family of Korea.

Warren - My husband's adoptive father's father's family. I have not done much on this part of the family tree.

Ham - My husband's adoptive father's mother's family. I have not done much on this part of the family tree.

Adams - My husband's adoptive mother's father's family. Through the research of this tree, combined with my research on the Rambo branch, we have found that my husband's adoptive mother and I are 11th cousins twice-removed.

Doster - My husband's adoptive mother's mother's family. The Adams and Doster family trees were researched by other members of the Adams/Doster family. Their information has been transferred into our family tree.

Stuart - My husband's natural mother's father's family. Members from my mother-in-law's family and she have been compiling information about this branch of the tree. Lynn is a fellow user of the FamilyTreeMaker software. This line has been traced back to 3 brothers who came America in the 1600s. It is believed this line may be a descendant of a relation to Mary, Queen of Scots.

Rainey - My husband's natural mother's mother's family. Lynn has been gathering the information on her mother's side of the family and is sharing it with me so I can enter it into my family tree.
