Levin Ward, Sr. was my Third Great Grandfather and reportedly came to America from London England sometime around 1775. Also on the same ship was Priscilla Price who he married after they landed in Maryland. Levin was also accompanied by his Son, William, again, reportedly from a former marriage. They lived with Wiley Jones on his plantation in Maryland until they were able to establish themselves here in America and then moved on to Davie County, North Carolina where they resided until about 1820 when they moved to Daviess, County Indiana where Levin died about 1826 with Priscilla passing away there in 1841. We have been very privileged to have been in contact with a number of other Ward Descendants who have furnished us with a wealth of Ward information, however we certainly would welcome the opportunity to exchange information with any other Descendants. As of September 1st, 2004 we have 2,457 names in our Ward file. |
