"The brothers Jean and Marin Mouton were charmingly nicknamed for the hats they wore.Jean wore a formal chapeau and Marin, a homespun "Capuchon" or cap, and to this day their respective descendants are referred to as either "Chapeau Moutons" or "Capuchon Moutons". "
