      33. Nancy Ann White, born November 22, 1803 in Marion County, South Carolina; died August 6, 1859 in Darlington County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of 66. Gideon White and 67. Nancy Ann Arrington.

Notes for Simon Ward:
DIED On the 10th day of August A.D. 1878 Our much esteemed and venerable brother SIMON WARD

Bro. Ward was baptized about A.D. 1825 from which time he remained a steadfast and consistent member of Elim Baptist Church. Bro. Ward was a good neighbor, a skillful mechanic, a useful citizen and a pleasant companion. Whatever his hand found to do, that he did with all his might with an energy, industry, and progression, What distanced expedition. Indolence was to him loathsome. His maxim was "Keep busy and avoid mischief." The remembrance of his many inestimable traits of character as a Christian and gentleman of the old school, remains a monument to his memory, and a beacon of light to those he left behind. He was zealous in the cause, and for the Kingdom of his Lord and Master, contributed liberally both in time and substance, to advance that cause. He loved the Sabbath School and up to his death was prompt in his attendance upon its reforms and zealous in the promotion of its interests. For many years he has served as deacon of his church which position he filled with honor to himself and satisfaction to the church. He has fought the good fight of faith and filled a lifetime with usefulness.

An incorruptible patriot, a zealous Christian, a kind and indulgent father,, an honest man, he lived respected and died regretted.

Respectfully submitted
