The William Guilford Pomeroy family begins in Massachusetts during the "Great Puritan Migration" of the 1630"s.
The founder of the Pomeroy name in America is Eltweed Pomeroy. It is from his descendants that I will trace the direct and allied branches of my tree.
The family's beginnings in Massachusetts and inevitably on into New York State and Ohio, mirror the familiar but fascinationg story of the settlement of this great nation.
