| This site is for my son Jonathan.It is reallly "his" family tree, including my side of the family and his father's. My search began when my teenaged son came home from school and asked "where did we come from".Heritage Day was coming up in school and he wanted to take a food from our ancestors.I suggested Heinz 57 steak sauce, because we seem to be a mixture of heritages.My work is ongoing, but the surnames are many.They include Andersen, Church, Dixon, Hollingsworth, Lorentzson, Nichols, Osborne, Pennington, Phillips, Waters, Willett and more.The primary locations are Ashe Co. North Carolina, Kentucky, Norway, Savannah, GA., Sweden, and West Frankfort, IL.I owe much of my success to the Pennington Research Group, Pennington Family Group 7, and the Phillips research mailing list.Much of the information came from a book on the Phillips family by Dewey Phillips.Some came from family bibles. Much of the information is documented, but some is still being proven. The information is believed to be accurate, but is not warranted.I am always looking for additional information and am willing to share my information with other family members, or those who think they might be family members. | |
