She died Bef. 1826. He married (2) VICY COPPEGE March 24, 1826 in Gasconade County, Missouri. He married (3) ARTHUSIA BROWN October 04, 1827 in Clay County (now Clinton), Missouri. She was born in Kentucky.

The story goes that James Duncan Watkins arrived in NW Missouri with two small children. The first census (Clinton CO., 1830) after he and Arthusia were married, showed them with three boys, two under 5 years old and one 5 - 10 years. Henry was said to be the one, 5 - 10 years. The first wife is unknown. The second wife, Vicy Coppege must have died in childbirth or shortly thereafter. When James married Arthusia Brown, there were three small children. James and Arthusia had 13 children of their own.

She was born December 27, 1819 in Old Franklin, Missouri, and died May 05, 1899 in Calhoun, Henry County, Missouri.
