Mary Ellen Norman (daughter of Henry Ferris Norman and Mary Ann Edwards) was born 10 Sep 1865 in Wanaka, New Zealand, and died 18 Apr 1939 in Wanaka, New Zealand. She married George Henry Ballantyne.

Notes for Mary Ellen Norman:
Mary Ellen Norman eldest daughter, was born on 10 September 1865. She married George Ballantyne of County Selkirk, Scotland, when she was only 17 years of age and they lived in the house second from the river end of Arklow Street, which had been built by her father. When their youngest daughter Grace was about two years old, they moved with their family of seven children to the farm at Mt. Barker (where Grace still lives) and which had previously been owned by Richard Norman. The farm was called Table Hill Mary Ellen died on 18 April 1939.
