BY: BRENT WATKINSPer. 1A lot of people have different families. Some are long, some are short, but when you look back far enough, they are all interesting. The way your ancestors were affected how you are today, how you live, your standing and so forth.Sometimes though, people somewhere along the family line will want to change the path and will do anything they can to do so.For example:You could be of royalty but someone in your past may have not wanted that, so they did something to change their way of life.Another example is that you could have a poor past and someone didn’t want their future generations to live through poor times like they did and will try all they can to get rich. Those are a few things that could happen that can change the course of your history. My family is today is wide ranged.I have family in Europe and Domican Republic. When I was younger the only family I knew was the immediate family of mine. Then when I got older and went with my father to his reunion I found out that I have so many relatives that it would take years to meet them all and to write them all. Thanks for the fact that my father does genealogy I am able to understand and appreciate all the family I do have.Who knows, I may never meet half of them but knowing that I do have them is cool to know.I remember one thing I was told by my late grandfather Homer Watkins: “When you marry someone Brent, you let her know that she will be entering a large family.”I still chuckle when I think of that. - Huddelston Family connects to Watkins Family (11 KB)
