Notes for James Sparkman Godwin:
Notes for James S. Godwin: It is quite possible that James middle name was "Sparkman". James S. Godwin relocated to Wayne Co., TN (as eventually did his first cousin James Colden Sparkman). He appears to have had one son named for his father by his first wife. This 1850 census transcription reflects him as James T., but two Wayne Co. court records online indentify him as James S. I [1] suspect James R. may be James Reddick, and note the daughter named for his mother.
