In 1827 Abraham signed as a Bondsman for James C Godwin and Rebecca Evans in Maury County, Tennesse noting he came to Tennessee between 1820 and 1827 as he is not listed on the Census there in 1820.

Distribution of Abraham Petty's estate. The sum of $377.84 was distributed as follows: Each heir received the sum of $41.98 and the heirs were: Hardy Petty, Della Skelly, Heirs of Gideon Petty, Heirs of James Petty, Edward Petty, Mazy Church, Jesse Petty, Mary Wrenn and Martha J. Fox. Austin Fox, administrator files his final accounting and was discharged from the estate. This was in the June Term 1869 p. 244 Cedar Co., MO Probate Records Vol. C 1868-1872 FHL film #0932396
