He married MARY ALICE PUGH November 05, 1810 in Franklin County, Virginia, daughter of RICHMOND PUGH. She was born 1793 in Hansford County Virginia, and died 1879 in Bloody Creek, Wolfe County Kentucky.

Moses served in the war of 1812, he was given a Land Bounty of 80 acres in 1855 on Bloody Creek in Wolfe Co. Ky.
He first moved to Clay County Kentucky around 1820. He lived in 3 different counties while living in the same house, because county lines kept changing.

Moses King born 1792 in Franklin County Virginia, died December 22, 1871 at Bloody Creek, Wolfe County Kentucky. Married November 15, 1810 in Franklin County, Virginia to Mary Alice Pugh (Polly) born 1793 in Hansford County, Virginia, died about 1879 in Wolfe County, Kentucky and buried at Bloody Creek.

While Living in Virginia, Moses was in the war of 1812, he volunteered in Captain Quillan Maggard's Fifth Regiment, in the command of Colonel Francis Preston, around March 16, 1812 in Rocky Mt. Va. and it was about 18 months before he was called to active duty.
Moses was honorably discharged in Norfolk, Virginia around the end of March 1814. For his services to his country in the war, he received a Land Bounty of 80 acres in 1855 on Bloody Creek in Wolfe County, Kentucky.
Moses lived in Franklin County Virginia, and his first four children were born there, till around 1820 when he came to Clay County Kentucky. Moses lived in three different Kentucky counties without moving, the county lines kept changing: Clay - Breathitt - Wolfe.

Moses put in for a Soldier's Pension May 10, 1871 when he was 77 years of age.
Polly, his wife, filed for a Widow's Pension February 9, 1872. Polly was 78 years old at the time.

On this 15 day of October 1872 _____ before me a County Court Clerk within and for the County of____ State of____. ____ personally appeared Issac Taulbee Jr. & Isom Noble residents of Wolfe County Kentucky person whom I certify to be respectabel of crediable____ who on oath say that Moses King husband of Mary Alice Polly King died at his residence in Wolfe County on the 28 day of Dec. 1871 and that the said Mary Alice Polly King has continued a widow we are near neighbors to Mary Alice Polly King and know this facts ---- as the death and burial of Moses King ____ ____ ____ that he has no interest in the claim of Mary Alice Polly King for pension.
