Evan is a descendant of Squire Boone, father of Daniel Boone. Sarah Boone, Squire Boone's daughter married John Wilcockson (later changed spelling to Wilcoxin). John and Sarah had 15 children, 1 of which, Rachel Wilcockson, married Capt. William Bryant. Capt. Bryant established Bryant's Station near present day Lexington, Kentucky, which was the first white settlement in Kentucky. A flood wiped out Bryant's Station not long after Boone Station, which later became Fort Boonesboro, was established; which made Boone Station the first permanent white setlement in Kentucky.
Capt. William Bryant and Rebecca had 11 children. One of their sons, Hiram Bryant, born 1792, married Sarah Evans. Hiram and Sarah are William Evan Bryants parents.
