Find Family

Hello, come on in. Perhaps we have some family stories to share, or long lost loved ones to recapture back into the family tree.
If you are researching any of the family names on my page please feel free to contact me. If you locate any mistakes please let me know so that I can correct them.
I have been researching my family for about four going on five years now. I have been successful at meeting many family members online and off and sharing data to add to the ever growing family tree.
I have researched the BABB surname of my family back to Christopher Babb born 1736 in Nansemond County, Virginia. It has been a wonderful journey finding my ancestors among the books of history. To discover that they were wonderful persons with colorful stories. Through the connection of my ancestor Christopher Babb I have been given the wonderful opportunity to become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, National Number 799811 and I belong to the Yorktown Bicentennial Chapter 6-175-TX.
I have researched the ZumBerge name back to Germany (Prussia) locating the records in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wolfsburg, Germany. The ZumBerge family seemed to be low keyed and they were difficult to locate on records, but with my grandmother's notes she left behind and photos and wonderful relatives like Jim Berne I have been able to discover that what my grandmother had written about her family was a part of history also. Herrmann Zum Berge was one of the first Texas State Troopers and a part of keeping Texas safe. I am very proud of my family. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to share with you this wonderful discovery called family.
I am now tracing the DICUS/DYCUS family of Tennessee a most elusive bunch. If anyone can help me I can use all the help I can get. My main charactor is my great great grandfather Phinis Ewing Dycus of Tennessee.
