Richard Boulden was born to John Boulden and Mary Jordan, in the St Keverne region of Cornwall, England the youngest of five, he was baptised on the 6 th of August 1840 in the parish of St Keverne. Richard married Anne Maria Davies in about 1861 also in St Keverne, Cornwall. children 1 Mary,1863.- 2 John, 1863.- 3 George Humphery,1866.- 4 Thomas David,- 5 Richard H,1872 6 William J ,- 1874,died 1887. -7 Joseph Hedley,1881.- 8 Sydney Melville,1882. In 1882 Richard, his wife,eight children and future son-in-law, of Mary, ( Nicholas Henry Harris )departed Plymouth, aboard the "Duchess of Argyle", bound for Sydney,all were Assisted Immigrants and arrived in Sydney on February 5th 1883. Richard and Anne lived in Plymouth St Enfield in Sydney ,until Richards death in 1909.During much of that time Richard worked as a dairyman. Survived by his six children and nineteen grandchildren. he was burried in Rookwood cemetery, on 11th October 1909,with his grandson William H Harris(1884 - 1900).
