He later married Jenny Elizabeth (Betty) Carroll in 1881 The New York Times 1884 article Mormon Massacre (96 KB) The New York Times 1884 printed an article on the investigation of the the Mormon Massacre of Lewis County. It appears another death is attributed to the massacre.
