Susannah Hawkins, who was born about 1777, made this quilt when she was a child. It has been kept in the family until it was donated to the Frankfort Historical Society by Nancy Duncan Young Robinson in May 2000. It had been passed down to Lucy Duncan Price, Susannah Hawkins Kilby Duncan's grandaughter. Lucy Price then passed it down to her favorite nephew, Robert Allen Duncan. Robert Duncan then passed the quilt on to his daughter Nancy who took this picture.
