Hector Scott died January 30, 1950. He married Hilda Marion Crockett on Abt. 1932 in New Hampshire, daughter of Aaron Locke Crockett and Nina Pooler.

Lewis Miller relates that Hector Scott worked in the junkyard at the end of the street on Bishop Street [WH Lane Scrapyard] . Hector always kept his hat on except when he was sleeping . It was the first thing he reached for in the morning. Whenever there was a parade Hector dressed up in Sunday best for it. Hector was an alien from Canada who registered every year with the government
