* Tripping over Roots in Nash County, North Carolina*

Updated January 15, 2001

I am researching Howells who were centered in the Duplin County, North Carolina area around 1900. They also have connections to Nash County, North Carolina.
I am also researching Skinners who were centered in the Nash County, North Carolina area in the early 1900s.
I have information also on Robinsons and Wilsons in the Rutherford County, North Carolina area. I have much information that I cannot claim, thanks to other researchers, on these two families. I can put you in contact with the sources for additional information, but I will not post that here.

In the interests of privacy, I have listed the names and dates of children in the generation born between 1900 and 1925. When this generation married, I have listed only their deceased children -- and the numbers of surviving children. You may contact me directly for more information if we can establish a connection.

These families were farmers and sharecroppers, so their records are sketchy. My sources include mostly my grandparents first-hand accounts (Ralph, Sr. and Iva Howell), a few personal visits to cemetaries and a few days of research in the Nash County courthouse.

If you have information or require information, please contact me. Maybe we can fertilize our trees together!
