Been doing my family-tree for more then forty years. And have only gone back to my gggggreat father James Weeden sr. who was born 1760 died 1860 lived between petersburg and Grafton NY.Lived to be hundren years old.Who was his father?
He is buried with his son James Weeden jr. and granson Daniel Weeden back in the woods on the old Weeden & burdick cemetery
on 27 Taconic lake rd.Petersburg NY.There has been story not proven yet told to me that there was a family on a ship called nott or mcnott coming to America mr.nott died at sea,Mrs nott was with cild, and there was a Weeden aboard ship who took her as his wife and that baby took on the Weeden name.As I said it's a story given to me, how can I prove it? or will it be a mistery that I will take to my grave.
