I am researching the WEEKS family from south Georgia. My Great Great Grandfather was WILLIAM HANNIBAL WEEKS ( 1835 to 2-10-1865). Family legend has that HANNIBAL'S father, BARTEMUS WEEKS (b. 1785 - d -? )was one of four brothers who were sailors and ship builders that lived in Virginia. Three of the four brothers left Virginia, one to Kentucky, one to Florida and my line moved to Georgia. HANNIBAL married ROXANA Ashley WRIGHT, daughter of Abel and Rebecca Cadwell Wright, on April 3, 1857 in Paluski County Georgia. They had three children, James Bart Weeks, Abel Thomas Wright Weeks ( my Great Grandfather) and Rebekah Carline Weeks.
