I am researching the HEDGLIN family from Mercer County, PA. John Cooper HEDGLIN first appears in the 1820 Census. He married Elizabeth AYLESWORTH/ELLSWORTH in 1822. To this union 12 children were born: Elizabeth, David, John, William, Marie, Eliza, Thomas, George, Sarah, Mary, Lewis and Warren. In addition I am researching the following surnames: COOPER, FLICKENGER, CORNELIUS, STOUGHTON, WEAVER, WIGTON, HEASLEY, KNAUFF, WEGRZYNEK, FILLAR, CARSON, DICKERT, AND HOCKENBERRY. I am also currently working on the history of the coal mine area of Mercer/Lawrence counties referred to as No 2, No5 and Brent. Any information would be appreciated. I am willing to share any information I have.
