Cyrus Crosby, 77, died at 3 a. m. Friday in Pickaway County home.
He was born in Vinton County June 23, 1873, the son of John and Lucinda Strawser Crosby. His wife Lyde, died seven months ago.
Surviving are a son, Merle Crosby of 137 Huston Street; two daughters, Mrs. Chester Fowler of Huston Street and Mrs. Wilma Tankersley of Circleville Route 3; a grandchid; two brothers John of Obetz and Arthur of Columbus; and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Detty of Lockbourne and Mrs. Minnie Wolfe of South Washington Street.
Mr. Crosby was a member of Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a veteran of Spanish American War.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Defenbaugh Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Bennett officiating.
Burial was in Forest Cemetery with military services held at the grave.

George Edward Crosby-- died lat Saturday morning at his home on South Court Street. Mr. Crosby had been ill ten years of tuberculosis. He was born at Pike Run, March 1, 1877, and was the son of John Wesley and Lucinda A. Strawser Crosby.

George Edward Crosby, died lat Saturday morning at his home on South Court Street. Mr. Crosby had been ill ten years of tuberculosis. He was born at Pike Run, March 1, 1877, and was the son of John Wesley and Lucinda A. Strawser Crosby.
He came to this county five years ago and was employed as a railroad section forman. He married Miss Mary Jane Mills at Lancaster, October 4, 1904. His wife and seven children survive. They are: Lucile, Roy, Leonard, George, Albert, Mildred, and Pauline Crosby.
Of his immediate family, three brothers and two sisters are living. They are, Cyrus Crosby of this city; Arthur Crosby, of Columbus; John Crosby of Reese; Mrs. Minnie Wolfe, of this city and Mrs. Stella Detty, of Vinton County. Mr. Crosby was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, having served in Company H., 7th regiment.
The funeral services were held at the Christian Union church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock conducted by O. L. Ferguson. Interment of the Soldier's Lot in Forest Cemetery.
