I am researching my family. The families I am searching for are the Goldsmiths, decendents of Thomas who came to Salem from Kent, and the Maschins and Michaleks from Bohemia. I have been able to trace back to Wesley Goldsmith, but no further. My father's notes say Thomas and his brother Richard came to salem from Kent England in 1634. Richard stayed in Massachusetts, but Thomas moved to Long Island about 1644. Son went to Virginia.
Emil Maschin came to N.Y. from Bohemia when he was 18. He was married to Marie Koebler, also from Bohemia. They settled in Massachusetts probably by 1870.
Alber Michalek married Marie Oleksak and settled in Massachusetts probably by 1880.
