As the millennium turns to the 21st century, I have decided to try to update the Weldin family book "History and Genealogy of the Weldin Family in America" which was published by Lewis Cass Weldin, C.E. in 1939. This book traces the Weldin Family back to two brothers Ely and Jacob around 1700 in Brandywine Hundred, Wilmington Delaware.

I also will be adding information from the Talley family book "The History of the Talley Family on the Delaware and Their Descendants" published in 1899 by George A. Talley. This book starts with William Talley abt. 1685. The Talley and Weldin families both settled in Brandywine Hundred and there have been many marriages between the families over the years.

I'm pretty clear on the information needed to trace my section of the family back to Thomas Talley Weldin Sr. as this is mostly within my lifetime. I'd be happy to accept any contributions or links from anyone who can add to these grand american families.
